How was your day? Fine.

My dad used to (well I guess he still does) ask how my day was or how do I feel and in my eloquently angsty youthful self, I'd say "fine". So I might just borrow a line from this website, http://www.wefeelfine.org/, to give him a more "interesting" answer, albeit a random one that wouldn't quite make sense to him.

Nah actually the site is tres cool and I came across it whilst video hopping on TED.

Every blogger must have typed the words out "I feel" or "I'm feeling" onto their blogs at one time or another (I did a search and I actually did use that f word once in this somewhat infant blog of mine). We Feel Fine tries to collect all instances when these phrases are mentioned in a sentence on blogs and to compile them into one site. There are 15000-2000 such sentences recorded daily. And as far as possible, additional information such as the blogger's sex, age and geographical location and the date it was published is all recorded. Even the weather at point of blogging is recorded. That's massive amounts of data but it's displayed quite.. well, prettily.

Each particle fles about and represents a "I feel" moment. The colour and size of the particle would be dependent on the type of feeling it represents.

The tabs along the pink bar at the top, lets you set the perimeters for the results you want. With those in place, it begins

"offering responses to specific questions like: do Europeans feel sad more often than Americans? Do women feel fat more often than men? Does rainy weather affect how we feel? What are the most representative feelings of female New Yorkers in their 20s? What do people feel right now in Baghdad? What were people feeling on Valentine's Day? Which are the happiest cities in the world? The saddest? And so on."

If there's an accompanying photograph, this is also displayed to give a visual representation of the emotion.

There are a few more different interfaces that you should check out.

But as a side note, I hate the logo.
